Prayer and quoting Scripture are words cast into the void when actions do not match those pious renderings.

Much appreciate the update. Was aware of the DoD holding the prayer meetings, but not so with DoL. One has to wonder of the folks in DoD and DoL attending, how many of them are faithful in their attendance and financial support of their local congregations?? I also wonder, if they have a daily devotional time of a morning or evening, or is their spiritual/religious experience just going to be attending a monthly government promoted, sanctioned and conducted religious service? I just completed watching Ken Burns' The American Revolution. It was quite revealing on a variety of fronts, some very troubling (treatment of Native Americans, Blacks and Enslaved), however, nothing was revealed that our founders were seeking to establish a "Christian Nation", nothing about posting plackards with the Ten Commandments, mandating prayer at government events and certainly not conducting of prayer meetings in government agencies. Folks of faith have every opportunity to engage in their religous practices without Federal Department Heads establishing government sponsored religious practices.
