Viscerally I wanted to scream. But as I studied the scripture this morning and again looked at the results, there are some things that I noticed. One, the presidential election was close. Second, several seats in the House are still being determined. As of now, neither party will have a large majority. And the Senate is close. Also, I believe that MAGA and the Christian Nationalism have made a serious mistake: they lost control of when Project 2025 was released. They tipped their hand too soon. I really think that people not understanding economics had much to do in this election. I maintain faith that what is good and loving will conquer.
So what do we do? We continue to oppose the mistreatment of minorities. We hold fast to our faith and continue to do good. We continue the battle against those who confuse the Kingdom of God with the kingdom of this earth. We offer hope, not dispair. We look forward to the future and we care for our communities. The next two years may be rocky. However, I believe that the true Church will perservere.
