The tragedy is that so many of us who are well schooled in the Bible let a comment like that go by without even noticing how wrong it is. We need to reclaim Biblical language and story from the modern penchant to mash everything together into one unintelligible soup.

Excellent!! Outstanding!! So much the voice of reason and truth on this event. The police, government officials and media simply don't know the Scripture to which they refer. The pastor whose faith is somehow based on the crucifixion should have been stopped, apparently is totally ignorant of the fundamental Christian Doctrine of Atonement - Blood Sacrifice.

Thank you for the clarity so badly needed these days. It is a bit horrifying that elected officials will do theology over guns and say God's plans on the cross did not go as planned because Jesus lacked an AR-15.
