Thank you so much for this info! The flags in the sanctuary have been longtime issues of misuse and misplacement for me. I recall taking a pastor and wife from the UK who were visiting us and stopping by our church since they weren't going to be able to be there for Sunday worship. They were shocked to see the American flag displayed there. I was also embarrassed and tried to explain that while there were many of us who opposed that, it would bring such unrest among the congregation that we said nothing...I appreciate all this historical background,
