Republican voters in Iowa head to their caucus sites in six days to kick off the voting in the 2024 presidential race. So the candidates are crisscrossing the Hawkeye State and hitting the airwaves with ads. Former Presidential Donald Trump apparently decided on a key last-minute message to help maintain his large poll lead: he’s on a mission from God.
As a follower of Jesus for all most 68 years, an ordained Baptist minister for over 40 years and a Baptist pastor for soon to be 30 years, what you have revealed in this most timely and important article is more than sickening to me, it is enormously frightening. The Fundamentalist Evangelical Christian Nationalist who have sold out to DJT, have given up their Christian faith and heritage for a "mess of pottage", and a rotten mess at that. These individuals cannot be reasoned with, or even talked to in any rational basis. The future of our democracy, the future of religious liberty and the separation of church and state is indeed on the line in this election. We must be willing to work for those candidates that can stop the Trump takeover, we must put our money were our mouth is in this election.
