The Old Testament is important, but it must be read through the lenses of Christian teachings in the New Testament. Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God is within us. It's a spiritual kingdom. He also said to beware and watch out who we follow, in particular to beware of leaders who are wolves in sheep"s clothing. He said, "By their fruit you will know them."
